Fortune Theatre location

On Russell Street itself, the Fortune is just off Drury lane and Covent Garden. The theatre shares its territory with the much larger West End venues, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Novello and Royal Opera House. Its central location means there's a wealth of restaurants, cafés, clubs and bars to be found close by and the public transport links are excellent.

By tube

  • The nearest tubes are Covent Garden (for the Piccadilly line), Holborn (for the Central line) and Charing Cross (for the Bakerloo and Northern lines)
  • The theatre is a short and interesting walk from three mainline tube stations – just a few minutes in each case
  • From Covent Garden tube station: Turn right on Long Acre then right again on to Bow Street and left on to Russell St, where you'll find the theatre
  • From Holborn tube station: Walk along Kingsway until you reach the Peacock theatre. Then turn down Kemble Street, which meets up with Russell Street
  • From Charing Cross tube station: Cross the road at the traffic lights and turn right along The Strand. Once you reach the Aldwych junction, turn left onto Catherine Street and right onto Drury Lane. The Fortune is opposite the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
